About the Lifeboats Corner
In this difficult time of a rapidly developing planetary emergency, migration is a very important human right. Many of us are in locations where very soon life will not be possible in the way we are used to or not possible at all. With large uncertainties in front of us we all need to develop skills that will allow us to migrate, find a new home, and be of value to the community already there. The Place4Us Harbor provides many tools and services that help all of us to prepare and specifically those who need to migrate. Besides being a place for lifeboats, the Harbor also is a place to work on frameworks that will protect the human right to migrate. There is also a need to fund the lifeboats. The harbor is a place for a lifeboat fund. Groups of VCCs or ad hoc groups of Place4Us participants who plan a lifeboat have to submit a brief proposal to the Harbor Committee, which will rapidly evaluate the proposal and make a decision asap. Once a proposal has been accepted the authority and responsibility for the lifeboat is with the proposing lead VCC or the proposing lead participant(s). |
