About the Bark Space

Note that the Bark Space is in the conceptual Design Phase. It will have the functionallity described below when it is fully established.

Publishing journals and books is a major means for the distribution of knowledge required to ensure the viability of Earth and humanity. The Bark Space in the Place4us Town Square provides an advanced set of tool for the establishment of new journals and the processing of submitted manuscripts, including novel approaches to the reviewing of articles and the management of published articles. A journal or book published by a VCC in the Bark Space will be available to all Place4Us participants.

All VCCs have access to the Bark Space and the available tools to set up and manage journals, compile and publish books, and develop other document. A VCC wanting to publish a book in the Bark Space or start a journal there has to submit a proposal to the Bark Committee. The proposal will be evaluated by the Place4Us Bark Committee following established procedures. If accepted, authority and responsibility for the journal or book is with the proposing VCC or the proposing group.

All publications in the Bark Space are open access.
