Disaster Risk Governance is of paramount importance for a society rapidly changing the planetary life-support system and changing the spectrum of hazards posing increasingly complex and interconnected existential threats to society, the supply system that meets the needs of all, and the ecosystems we all depend on. Here we take a systems-focused approach to disaster risk governance. We promote a risk-aware approach to the planning and implementation of pathways to desirable futures for all.
