Real-world persons or authorized representatives of real-world organizations can sign up on Place4Us as Place4Us users. Chatbots or any other artificial or virtual entity cannot be a user of Place4Us.
User are expected to abide by the ethos of Place4us, i.e., justice, equity, diversity and inclusion. Place4Us is a place for constructive and respectful collaboration in diverse groups and across the diverse user community.
Place4Us aims at facilitating a global citizen movement for a better future of a thriving humanity on a healthy Earth. By joining Place4Us you are expected to support this overarching goal with your activities on Place4Us.
Signing up for Place4Us is free and no user fees are being charged. Certain user established services may result in fees. For example, a community may decide to establish a scientific journal and charge handling fees for peer-reviewed open access articles.
Importantly, Place4Us does not share or sell any user data. User activities are to some extent logged in order to derive statistics and to identify any potential issues. None of the collected information is used to make recommendation or to push information to users.
All contributions you make are a part of the knowledge base of Place4us commonly owned by all users of Place4Us. Depending on the service on Place4Us, items published may inherently become part of the Place4Us commons or remain data owned by you. For example, a file you upload to your MyFiles belongs to you. However, if you make this part of an article published in a journal in the Bark Corner, then this file becomes part of the Place4Us commons.
If you decide to leave Place4Us, not all information and documents provided by you can be deleted. Any of your data that became part of the Place4Us commons cannot be deleted. No data provided by you will be deleted automatically. All of your documents and contributions that you want to delete will have to be manually deleted by you before you leave the platform.
