Architecture of Virtual Community Centers

Community Activities Floor

This floor is used to organize community activities that are informal and open for broad participation.

For location-focused VCCs, these activities can be in-person, while for most topical VCCs, most of these activities will be virtual. Examples of in-person activities are environmental cleaning days (beach, parks, ...), community support actions, educational walks through the area, etc. Virtual community activities could include informal meetings to get to know each other, brainstroming session, etc. Topical communities could also arrange for in-person activities if a number of community members happen to be in the same location (e.g., for an event).
